So I was browsing through some of my favorite blogs and came across these insane photos...These are photos of airborne electricity grabbing hold of a volcanic plume at Chile's Chaiten Volcano which began erupting last week for the first time in 9000 years!

Studio Project - Alley Lofts

School is finally out! For some reason, this semester felt like it was never going to end. However, it was a good semester and I was pretty happy with the end result from studio. Final jury was pretty nerve racking, most people got a pretty rough ride. Fortunately they liked my project, which might have something to do with the coffee break they had just before my crit. So here's what I pinned up for crit. Check it!

EDPA Design Competition

The past few weeks have been pretty hectic, but since the next few weeks are gonna get even worse (if thats even possible...), I thought I would take some time and update a little.

At the beginning of this year I entered the EDPA "Launch your career" Exhibit Design Contest. It was a national competition which required us to submit four 18"x24" boards displaying our exhibit design for a predetermined product and brand. This year the product was an 1/8th inch cellphone called "The Pilot" and the company is Mobile2View. I spent last semester developing this project and finally submitted in January. Last Friday I was awarded 5th place and won Autodesk Software worth $3000.

THE SPACECOLLECTIVE

The SpaceCollective is an online community " Where forward thinking terrestrials exchange ideas and information about the state of the species, their planet and the universe, living the lives of science fiction today."

A few of us from OTIS College of Art and Design are conducting a project on the SpaceCollective site under the category New Fluidities.

The Brief
-The theme is Water. Drawing on information in critically related matters like socio politics and sustainability students will advance progressive design speculations that challenge conventional earth and gravity-bound architectures. On this planet and beyond.

The Approach

MY CLUTTERED MIND

So I've decided to relieve the load of my brain a little because I realized recently its been kinda clogged. Some sort of information overload! As a result my mind runs at 1000mph trying to process everything which distracts me greatly.

I guess I want this blog to become a memory bank for all things satisfying to me so that I may refer to it when needed. Also for all you peeps I rarely speak to or see, this will serve as a window to my mind which will update you on what I'm up to. Or maybe this will just become another distraction....who knows.....?
